WHEN STUDENTS ARE TARDY

Following a schedule is a necessity in life and a common procedure in college and the adult world.  When students are late, valuable class time is missed, and it is disruptive to others.

· Students must get a note from their previous teacher if they are going to be late.
· Students are considered tardy if they arrive more than 3 minutes after the scheduled class start time.
· Enter quietly
· Sign the tardy sheet
· Provide instructor with note
· Begin working

WHEN A STUDENT IS ABSENT

· It is the student’s responsibility to find out what work was  missed and make up outside of class.

· Students should find out what they will be missing if they know they are going to be absent.

WHEN THERE IS A SUBSTITUTE

Substitutes are a guest at The Salisbury School, and deserve the same respect given to the regular instructor. Students should remain focused, use their time wisely and follow all rules/procedures.

TALKING
· Loud and excessive talking is distracting  and inconsiderate to those who are trying to work.
· Students may talk while working-at an acceptable noise
level, but should avoid yelling across the room.
