Project Planning Powerpoint

Composition Powerpoint

Creative Bank Account Video
“To begin with the end in mind means to start with a clear understanding of their destination” - Steven Covey

Projects require planning  prior to coming to class- this is your homework.

Planning involves several steps
  • Source of your original idea-where did your idea FIRST come from?
  • Experimentation with the Elements and Principles of Art & Design
  • Artists of reference
  • Examples of other artists work or someone who does/has done, what you are wanting to do
  • Experiment with different color schemes (using color effectively)
  • Experimenting with different compositions  (how work is arranged)

Project planning is an important step before beginning any project and an important life skill to learn.

· Do we have the supplies or do they need to be ordered?
· How big/small is the piece?
· What medium/media?
· What needs to be done first? What is next?
· What else is needed to complete the project?
· How long is this project expected to last?
· What are the students goals with the project?

Students should always be planning their next project in their head and sketchbooks.
