Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and books.
•Look at Arcimboldo’s artwork and find a face that you like. •Recreate it using foods and/or found objects around the house. (Be sure to ask before wasting food!) •Take the picture and upload to the group slideshow for the week. •Be sure to tell us the TITLE of the piece of art that inspired you in your Artist Statement. OPTIONAL: You can also use pixlr to digitally collage a food face or magazines to glue together a food face. OR create a different work of art using food. |
