writing a Guiding question to guide your work
For this step, you will write The Guiding Question help you understand why your making this piece. It explains what your project's objective is. In other words, its your work's guiding principle.
To write a Guiding Question, start by selecting one of the Learning Targets below. There are many to choose from so look for one that best aligns with what you are trying to accomplish.
Once you have selected a Learning Target, customize it so it includes specifically what you want to accomplish.
Here is an example.
Let's say you want to create a painting of your house in the style of the famous work of art, Starry Night by Van Gogh. You look at the Learning Targets and select: I Am Inspired: I will consider how artists, artwork or art concept inspire me.
Next, you customize the Learning Target so it becomes yours: I will consider how the artist Van Gogh painted the Starry Night.
Finally, You develop a Guiding Question based on your Learning Target: How can I use Van Gogh’s Starry Night as inspiration to create my own personal work?
